In the past, those two words have never really gone together, have they?
Breastfeeding clothes have either been too daggy, or too expensive, or too uncomfortable, or too impractical.
But I am happy to report, that times are changing and there are some new kids on the block making breastfeeding fashion cool, comfortable and affordable.
When I’m breastfeeding, which let’s face it, has been a lot of the time over the last six years, I want to still feel like myself. So I set about finding some key pieces for autumn, to pull me out of my trackpants, and still allow me to feel at ease, while whipping out a boob! The extra bonus? They all come in under $100!
THE DRESSY TOP
When I spotted this MOOLK SHOP top it stopped me in my tracks and I knew I had to make it mine. The rose gold zipper makes for a stylish and easily accessible feeding top, and the pretty print adds a soft finishing touch when paired with skinny jeans or a denim skirt. I found it super easy to feed Olivia in, and could see myself teaming it with a cardi on cooler days.
THE STAPLE DRESS
Every gal needs a basic dress that they can glam up or dress down. Be it in black, or my favourite, chambray, its got to be functional but fabulous. That is why I couldn’t go past this STYLE FEED denim dress. The feeding panel is totally ingenious and discreet. The length is perfect for bending down to pick up stray Lego, and the style is a total classic. I’ve dressed it down in these photos but could see it with a blazer and ankle boots for a dressier look. I just know it will become one of my go to Autumn pieces!
THE PRETTY PICK ME UP
A new baby=sleepless nights/one tired mumma. Some days, all I want to do is feel a little bit brighter, but frankly find it all too hard, and end up in my activewear again. Now there is nothing wrong with a bit of lycra, but when you want to feel a little bit special, this MOOLK SHOP dress is it. It’s soft and comfortable, but bright in colour and a little but spesh. Plus the colours scream AUTUMN! I’ve popped on a pair of black tights and boots for this look, and plan to chuck on a denim jacket for cooler days. It comes with a zip front which I again tried out for feeding friendly access, and it passed with flying colours. I can’t wait to wear this dress over the next few months! Please note this dress is soon to be released. I’m so pleased that fashion labels are now catering for breastfeeding mummas, who want to feel fashionable, but don’t want to blow their entire back accounts on a single top! And with that in mind MOOLK SHOP has so very kindly decided to give all The Mums Group readers a special discount. Spend $50 and use THEMUMSGROUP at the checkout to receive 15% off.
