It’s been two weeks since I blogged. Two whole weeks since I pulled out the laptop and let the words drip out through my fingertips.
Life has just been getting in the way.
There was the week where I solo parented three sick children. That week really sucked.
Then there was the week where I was getting no more than 40 minutes of sleep at a time overnight. That week is still kinda going to be honest, hello four month sleep regression (which never gets easier), teething and a persistent snotty nose.
Let’s just say forming a sentence just hasn’t been possible of late.
The sleepless nights, the endless coffees, the groundhog day of it all.
But I know that you understand, after all you’re a parent. You’ve been there or you’re going through it right now. You get it. And that’s why I love doing what I do and sharing my experiences with you.
So today I find myself slightly less bleary eyed, enough to check in and say hi, at least.
This parenting gig is tough, and relentless and exhaustingly joyous and I’m so happy to be sharing the journey with you.
I’ll be back to my blogging best soon, after all, a good night’s sleep can make all of the difference!
